Design Anthropology at the Global-Local Interface

Guest lecture by Christina Wasson, Associate Professor, Department of Anthropology, University of North Texas.

The lecture will take place at 2pm-3.30pm on Tuesday the 9th of August 2011 at the Danish Design School, Building 90, room 90.1.20. The lecture is part of the summer school Design Anthropology: Electricity REframed offered in collaboration between The Danish Design School and The Institute of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen, but is open to everybody interested. Feel free to pass on this invitation.

Christina Wasson’s work is motivated by a passion for three “C”s: communication, collaboration, and community-building. She investigates how technology can bring together people who are geographically separated, applying her findings to the design of technologies and organizational change processes. Christina formerly worked for the design firm E-Lab, and her consulting continues. Clients have included Motorola, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
