On Monday April 11, professor Daniel Charny will give a lecture with the title: Showing Making at the Design School, building 90, room 90.2.01 from 16:30 – 18:00
Professor Daniel Charny is a curator and design educator. He is a founding director at From Now On, a creative and cultural consultancy based in London and temporarily also in Copenhagen.
Charny holds a number of creative leadership roles including Creative Director of the British Council’s global Maker Library Network and non-Executive Director of the Central Research Laboratory, a hardware incubator in West London, and is co-founder director of the fast growing creative social campaign and maker education programme, Fixperts.
Charny has been deeply involved in design education for over two decades including 14 years teaching at the Royal College of Art and lecturing internationally including in Denmark, Japan, Israel, Spain and South Africa. He is a regular contributor to conferences, think-tanks, design juries and professional advisory boards. He is Professor of Design at Kingston University and Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the Victoria and Albert Museum. His most known curatorial project is the widely acclaimed Power of Making exhibition and public programme at the V&A museum.
